This weekend was very interesting to say the least. Having come up off of a somewhat somber week, it ended as I always hope, pray and anticipate. Shouts to NFL sports agent Alvin Keels for truly putting on for the city. Then again, the portion of the 757 that was actually invited to celebrate life with him, several of his clients (Deangelo Hall, 757s own of the Washington Redskins, my man Marcus McNeill of the San Diego Chargers, 757s own Allen Iverson, etc.) tastemakers, trendsetters, and well , niggas with money. I'm human. I have made, make, and will probably continue to make mistakes. Not justifiable, just being truthful. Through all of lifes trials and tribulations, often to escape from lifes bullshit, it's that much easier to fall into situations that just aren't "beneficial" ones.

So as a man who can own up to his own mistakes, whether it rights my wrongs, for what it's worth, I am apologetic.

As this was merely, spur of the moment(via Twitter), I felt it highly necessary to touch on this subject. The "non-doing" celebrity.

What I mean by "non-doing", is those who reach a certain status, and don't feel obligated to do for those who have assisted them in achieving it, or even giving to those who "idolize" them in a sense, mainly the children who see and hear all of which the subject at hand talks, boasts or brags about.

I've heard some people say that they don't do certain things (in a specific area) because the way they are or have been treated. I suppose after you make it that means you're royalty. All the while saying in interviews, or when hearing people say you've become "hollywood", that you haven't changed since the days prior to your successful ones. I know how to read between the lines and check context clues a lot better than the next but gottdamnit that's some confusing stuff!!

Giving people the benefit of the doubt, I can agree that everyone who is or at least close to being someone, always isn't treated fairly, but that's just the way things go. Personally, everytime I go to the club out there, I am prepared for someone at the door to act some type of way. Even though....well....just know inside I'm ready for the BS....in any event, the point I am getting at, is that regardless of how SOME ADULTS around here treat you, what does that have to do logically with you doing ANYTHING for the kids of the 757?

Rest in peace Mr. Jackson. I can't honestly say that I was the biggest Michael Jackson fan, but I did understand, and appreciate all he's done and accomplished.

Anyone with any business pertaining to the industry, should at at least respect him for the boundaries he's crossed when it came to his craft. If you're an artist, your grind, and dedication should somewhat be molded after his. Look at his catalogue. It's incredible. WHO wouldn't want one that size. Look at the amount of HITS, he has!! If I rap or sang, why wouldn't I want a CRAZY amount of HITS like him?!? Over 750 MILLION albums sold!!! That alone is an unbelievable feat in itself.

So I go on to say, you don't have to know EVERYTHING about the man, you don't have to LIKE him, then again, not liking someone you don't personally know is a bi*** move in itself, but that's another story, BUT YOU DO HAVE TO RESPECT him for all he's done in 50yrs, and was up until yesterday, still working on.

I'm so proud of my little sister. An 09 college graduate, with so many beneficial opportunities coming her way to assist her in the very near future. As she gears up for a post graduate program for NASA I find myself wondering how prayer actually works, for lack of better words. A while ago I had realized that I had been given certain opportunities and hadn't really taken them
for granted, but I just wasn't focused and as interested in what I was doing, therefore, I didn't excel as I couldve & shouldve. So with the realization of that, I would focus the majority of my prayers around the betterment of her, my son, and so on, not necessarily asking the Lord for and about me.

There were times when I knew school, and work were getting tough for her, and I'd just ask to focus on her and everyone else aside from me, and that I'd rather see them prosper instead of me progressing at the moment. Which just leaves me wondering if prayer goes by what you ask for and are working towards within reason of course, or by what you mention and what your heart really means.

I've often prayed for others, sometimes even more than for myself, just because I hate seeing the ones I live struggle or feel some sort of stress or discomfort.

Idk, just doing some thinking & soul searching that's all, since it's obvious my prayers as well as others have helped her tremendously over the years,and the fact that I'm sending my own up triple the times if before.

This is my first time posting from my phone so bare with me if it's nor grammaticaly up to par as I am known to be!!

Lately life has been throwing me all sorts of shit. I'm a very optimistic person, and I believe in God, and everything people say about not rushing things, Gods got everything in order and hasn't forgot about you.

With that too, I agree, but at the same time its a somewhat mental conflict of interest. I say this because , I find myself asking why our situations are that much different. Is it due to the lifestyles we have lead? Did they do something that has caused them to remain down in the dumps??
